Pelosi Announces Departure of Chief of Staff Catlin O'Neill, Names Robert Edmonson New Chief of Staff for Congressional Office

Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi announced today that Catlin O’Neill, longtime aide and Chief of Staff in her Congressional office (CA-12), will be departing for the private sector.  Today, Leader Pelosi named Robert Edmonson, her current Legislative Director, as Ms. O’Neill’s successor:

“For over 10 years, Catlin's sharp instincts, steadfast determination, and impressive knowledge have been integral in advancing the House Democrats' agenda,” Leader Pelosi said.  “Public service is in her DNA and I thank Catlin for her talent and leadership on behalf of the people of San Francisco.  She has been an indispensable part of my staff and she will be missed.”

“For the past six years, Robert has been a strong advocate and tireless voice for high speed rail in the state of California, and on behalf of the issues impacting the people of San Francisco,” Leader Pelosi said.  “I look forward to working with Robert in his new role to allow me to best represent San Francisco in the Congress of the United States.  I know Robert will bring his dedication, intellect, and passion to the table on behalf of my constituents.”

Edmonson is a native of Harker Heights, TX and holds a Bachelor of Science degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Texas A&M University in Political Science.  He will assume his new duties this month.
