Pelosi: Congress Will Continue to Do Everything in Our Power to Help the People of the Gulf Coast

“‘It says in the Bible that when there is injustice in the world, the poorest people and those with the least power, are injured the most. The purpose of the surge was to provide the Iraqis ‘breathing room’ for political reconciliation – and the Maliki government has utterly failed.”
