Thank you very much Madam Chair [Michelle Lujan Grisham].  Thank you for your leadership.  I just got a message that [Senator Susan] Collins is a ‘no’ on Graham-Cassidy.  We have so many things going on here.

If House Republicans gave the bipartisan DREAM Act an up-or-down vote, we know it would pass.  Our nation’s patriotic young DREAMers are an inspiration to us all, and Congress has a moral responsibility to defend them by immediately passing the bipartisan DREAM Act.

This afternoon, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi joined Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Reports to discuss Republicans’ monstrous Graham-Cassidy Trumpcare bill, a last-ditch effort to take health care away from millions of hard-working Americans by gutting key protections, stealing from Medicaid, imposing a crushing age tax and forcing higher costs for less coverage.

The Trump Administration’s latest Muslim and refugee ban casts the widest dragnet yet, permanently barring millions of innocent people from entering the country on the basis of their nationality and religion. No matter how the Republican White House tries to dress it up, this is the same immoral and dangerous ban as before, with the same discriminatory motivations and the same cruel impacts.

Veterans, Americans fighting opioid addiction, and rural communities will still be devastated.

House Democrats stand with the vast majority of Americans that believe that patriotic young DREAMers who study in our schools, work and pay taxes make America more American.

By stripping health coverage away from millions of hard-working people, Graham-Cassidy Trumpcare would obliterate the promise of affordable health care in America, with shattering consequences: higher health costs, less coverage, gutting key protections, a crushing age tax, and stealing from Medicaid.
