GOP ‘Ready’ to Work on Tax Reform Without an Actual Plan

Three months ago Speaker Ryan gave his first ‘major’ tax reform speech in which he lamented: “We haven’t addressed this issue since then. 1986. It’s the year I got my driver’s license. This is the last time we addressed our tax system.”

You’d think with all that time to ponder the issue, Speaker Ryan and House Republican leaders would be farther along on an actual plan than they are now … which is nowhere. And ahead of Speaker Ryan’s AP Newsmakers interview, we’re not holding our breath for a solution.
