The repeal of ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ in 2010 showed that we only strengthen our military by honoring our values of freedom and equality. Equality for transgender Americans who want to enlist is progress that honors our values and strengthens our military.

Forty-five years ago, Title IX knocked down barriers to women’s participation and assured a woman’s place in the classroom, on the playing field and in the halls of power. Today, we honor the champions for women’s rights – from Sojourner Truth to Eleanor Roosevelt to Susan B. Anthony to Patsy Mink – who fought tirelessly to throw open the doors to the dreams of every woman and girl in America.

Response to the Senate version of Trumpcare has been swift and harsh. Physicians, hospitals, seniors’ groups, patient groups, women’s health groups, consumer groups, faith leaders, and others have come out against the Senate Trumpcare bill.
