The Trump Administration proved once again it will stop at nothing to destroy the health coverage of Americans with pre-existing conditions. 

Leader Pelosi. I thank you, Mr. Chair. I thank you. I acknowledge the work of the appropriators. Left to their own devices, they usually can – as an appropriator myself, I have great respect for the work that they do. But I have serious concerns about the bill that is on the Floor before us today.

The Trump Administration’s cynical assault of Americans’ health care has reached a stunning new low.

The Department of Justice will now argue in court that the Affordable Care Act’s provisions preventing insurance companies from denying coverage or charging more for pre-existing conditions should be struck down – destroying key, life-saving protections for millions of Americans with pre-existing conditions.

However, over a half-century later, the Trump Administration and Republicans in Congress are championing policies to restrict women’s access to contraception both in the U.S. and around the world.
