Manufacturers said “to close the Ex-Im Bank in this environment is surrendering export markets and economic growth in the U.S,” calling the move “devastating.”

A year since the Senate passed bipartisan immigration reform is days away. House Republican Conference, it’s time to demonstrate your leadership on this issue and do what’s right for the American people and our country. Listen to the outpouring majority of Americans, listen to your constituents, and give the American people a vote.

Speaker Boehner, Leader McCarthy, and the House Republican Conference are feeling the pressure to renew the Export-Import Bank’s charter. Forty-two House Republicans and businesses across the United States urged Speaker Boehner and the House leadership to drop their games and get serious about protecting our nation’s exports and economy.

Mr. Speaker, these comments and labels are inexcusable and reprehensible – no one should be politicizing the ordeal of these children in such a manner.

It happened. Finally, Senate Republicans have come to the realization that the needs of working families are essential. Unfortunately, though, America’s hard-working families deserve more than new packaging on the same old GOP agenda.

Republicans’ reckless and irresponsible behavior shut down the government for 16 days in October of 2013 taking $24 billion out of our nation’s economy.

The Senate has also acted in bipartisan fashion by passing ENDA – legislation that carries 206 co-sponsors, including 8 Republicans, in the House. Rather than remaining silent and turning a deaf ear, Speaker Boehner and the House Republican Conference must allow a vote on this crucial legislation and join House Democrats to eradicate hostile practices in the workplace.
