Pelosi Statement on the Passing of Sterling Spriggs
Washington, D.C. – House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released this statement on the passing of longtime House staffer Sterling Darnell Spriggs:
“Today, the House community mourns the loss of a devoted former staffer, Sterling Spriggs. Sterling’s lifetime of public service was a testament to his deep love of country and of Congress.
“Sterling’s remarkable career on the Hill spanned more than three decades. Working as a Congressional aide, a proud member of the U.S. Capitol Police and, later, as Assistant Chief Information Officer in the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, Sterling remained a passionate believer in the importance of service, a belief he shared with his loving wife and esteemed former member of the Hill community, Deborah.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to Deborah, their sons Brandon and Christopher and to the entire Spriggs Family. May Sterling’s memory continue to be an inspiration to all who knew him and may his family take comfort in knowing that so many share in their grief at this terrible time.”
