Pelosi Statement on the Passing of Sidney Harman

Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today on the passing of Sidney Harman: 

“Sidney Harman was a dynamic entrepreneur and a remarkable philanthropist.  His generosity was unsurpassed, his intellect was giant, and his company was always good.

“Sidney’s legacy will live on in the arts, in higher education, and in good public policy – just a few of the causes he supported.  His impact will long be felt in journalism.  And he will be forever remembered with fondness and admiration by his scores of friends.

“Sidney died surrounded by his beloved wife and our former colleague, Jane, and his children.  I hope it is a comfort to them that so many grieve their loss and are praying for them in this sad time.”
