Just a week ago, our nation observed Veterans Day.  Yet today, we see evidence that the Trump Administration is quietly planning to dismantle veterans’ health care.

The House is going to be going to session in the next few minutes, and so I’m going to have to head over to close on this monstrosity of a tax bill that gives 50 percent of the benefits to the top 1 percent and 80 percent of the benefits to the top 2 percent at the expense of the middle class. 

Thank you very much, Mr. Speaker.  I thank the gentleman [Congressman Richard Neal] for yielding and thank him for his superb leadership as the top Democrat on the Ways and Means Committee.  I commend him and all of our fellow Democrats on the Committee for standing up for the middle class in our country and fighting for the truth in what is in this bill.
