Leader Pelosi.  Thank you, Mr. Speaker. I thank the gentleman for yielding. I especially thank him for his exceptional leadership over the years to honor the historic collaboration that has always existed in our country between urban and rural America that is in all of our interests that our farm country succeeds, and it’s in all of our interests that the American people are not food insecure.

Earlier this week, I had the privilege, the sad privilege, to meet with some of the inspiring students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.  As you know, they have been in Washington, D.C. speaking to students their own ages, in high school, and conveying their determination to Members of Congress.

Washington, D.C. – House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi joined Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, Ranking Member on the House Ways and Means Committee Congressman Richard Neal and Ranking Member on the Senate Finance Committee Senator Ron Wyden to unveil a plan that would cut off the corporate rate reduction if companies fail to invest these tax savings directly into jobs and wages.  Below are the Leader’s remarks:
