“Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today after the House of Representatives approved the creation of a Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming on a vote of 269 to 150, with 44 Republicans voting in favor:

‘Global warming may be the greatest challenge of our time, setting at risk our economy, environment, and national security.
