“Days after naming a white nationalist as his Chief Strategist, the President-elect has chosen an Attorney General with a long record of racially offensive statements, discriminatory goals, and contempt for voting rights. As Attorney General, Jeff Sessions would have dangerous new authority to attack civil rights, LGBT rights, and the rights of immigrants and people of color.”

The Select Panel’s contempt for the truth and reckless disregard for safety is endangering medical professionals and undermining potentially life-saving medical research.

No matter what new language they are using, the vast majority of House Republicans’ legislation has consistently shown families in poverty nothing but indifference and contempt.

Republicans’ conduct of the Select Panel is a disgrace, and increasingly a threat to the lives of those who Republicans have chosen to harass. Speaker Ryan should heed the voices of the American people and disband this abusive Select Panel immediately.
